The sort menu in the filter bar orders your list four ways: Most Relevant, Alphabetical, Date Created and Last Updated.

Why it matters
After a search, Most Relevant puts the best matches first. To pick up where you left off yesterday, Last Updated puts your active chats on top. Alphabetical helps when you remember the title but not the date.
Step by step

Open the sort menu
Click the sort dropdown in the filter bar. It shows the current order, Most Relevant by default.

Pick an order
Most Relevant ranks by search score. Alphabetical goes A to Z by title. Date Created and Last Updated put the newest first.
Good to know
- Turn on Show Times in Settings → General to see each chat's dates in the list.
