Why it matters
You're mid-thought in ChatGPT and want the chat from yesterday. Reaching for the toolbar icon breaks the flow. A shortcut opens Echoes without leaving the keyboard.
Step by step
- 1
Try the shortcuts
Press
Ctrl+Shift+Efor the popup. PressAlt+Shift+Efor the side panel, which stays open next to the page. - 2
Check what Chrome assigned
Open Settings → Shortcuts in Echoes. It shows the keys Chrome set for each action, or Not set if another extension already uses them.
- 3
Change a shortcut
Click the TIP link in the same tab, or go to
chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Find Echoes, click the pencil next to a shortcut and press the new keys. - 4
Use click shortcuts in the panels
In the Projects and Labels panels,
Ctrl+click (⌘+click) adds to the selection andShift+click selects a range.
Good to know
- If a shortcut shows Not set, another extension took those keys first. Pick new keys at
chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
